CRICKET Grass Seed

The main areas of grass use in cricket can be divided as follows:

The Outfield - this needs to provide a uniform clean cutting sword. There we recommend the use of fine fescues and perennial ryegrass. This combination provides a dense base with high disease and wear tolerance.

The Square - modern fine-leaved perennial ryegrass is now used in squares at every level of cricket. These provide rapid establishment, high shoot density and most importantly exceptional root development.

The varieties offered for cricket use are specifically bred for these characteristics.

Universal

This mixture incorporating turf type perennial ryegrass gives fast establishment, strong soil binding characteristics and wear tolerance. This is particularly so on wicket ends and tennis court base lines. Fine dense appearance.
